Alexis Glover

MANASSAS, Va. (AP) — Prince William County police say they have arrested a Manassas woman on a child neglect charge.
  
Forty-four-year-old Alfreedia Gregg-Glover is also charged with filing a false police report. She is the mother of Alexis “Lexie” Glover, a 13-year-old developmentally disabled girl found dead on Friday.

The girl’s body was found in a Prince William County creek, about eight miles from the library parking lot where she disappeared Wednesday.
  
Gregg-Glover is being held without bond. Police have scheduled a Wednesday news conference to say more about the case. They said last week they were treating the girl’s death as a homicide.
