13-year-old James Coleman and 11-year-old Tyrone Coleman entered their essays into a Presidential Inauguration Committee contest that won them tickets to the Inaugural Parade!

The Capital change will be life-changing for two boys from the District. The tales of their lives were so compelling that the Presidential Inaugural Committee has awarded them front-row tickets to the inaugural parade!

The Presidential Inauguration Committee put a call to DC youth: How can I contribute to my neighborhood?

13-year-old James Coleman and 11-year-old Tyrone Coleman got it right. They wrote about what they know. The Coleman family survived several accidental fires over the years that left them temporarily homeless. They know what it’s like to rely on your neighbors and how to give back.

There are eight siblings in the Coleman family. They all hope to get close enough to greet the next president, but will they all get a front row seat?

James and Tyrone won a total of six VIP tickets, but the family is a total of ten. Officials with the PIC tell the family they’re working on that little ticket snag so they can all attend.
