No one ever said that Mahalia Jackson was not the queen. she still is a queen. the title was given to Albertina Walker after Mahalia died.
Again, Mahalia is still a queen. If you read, Mahalia is still noted as the first “Queen of Gospel” and Albertina Walker is the present “Queen of Gospel”
