Obama To America: ‘Change Has Come’

Barack Obama swept his way to a historic victory Tuesday night, becoming the 44th president of the United States, and the first black man to win the election.

Obama told about 200,000 who gathered at Chicago’s Grant Park Tuesday night that “Change has come.”

Spontaneous celebrations erupted from Atlanta to New York and Philadelphia as word of Obama’s victory spread. Crowds filled Pennsylvania Avenue in front of the White House (video: MyFoxDC).

Outside of the battle for the White House, two key races unfolded in Minnesota Tuesday night. In fact, Norm Coleman’s narrow victory over former comedian Al Franken now appears subject to a recount (video: MyFoxTwinCities).

And speaking of comedy, TV funnymen Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert parodied the election in real-time on Comedy Central Tuesday night.
