You may remember him when him when I introduced you to his music here on the site…or perhaps you’ve had the pleasure of hearing him perform.  Well if you’ve done neither, let me reintroduce you to the talented artist named, J Rome.  

“Keeping It Real” is the commercial theme for Washington, D.C. Television Station WDCA/My20, and “Keeping It Real” is what local recording artist J Rome did as he was chosen to be the stations new face and voice.

J Rome submitted an original song to station executives, proving not only does he have the voice; he has the talent and creativity to match.  Submissions were reviewed, discussions were over and the winner was announced, there was no doubt J Rome was the perfect fit for the “Keeping It Real” campaign. His original song entitled, “You’re My20” won them over and the clock was ticking to get him into the studio and shoot the commercial.

Born Jerome Wayne, J Rome was destined to perform. He was humming before he could speak and has early memories of making melodies throughout his childhood; one of them being a solo performance at the age of 5 singing Whitney Houston’s “The Greatest Love of All” for his preschool graduation.

Over the years J Rome has grown into a well respected and sought after artist while even finding time to serve in the United States Air Force. After his four year tour was successfully completed, he returned home to focus and commit 100% to his singing.

His first project entitled “When In Rome” is near completion and he continues to perform throughout the country. While some dream of pursuing goals, very few have the courage, strength, discipline and drive.  J Rome is one of the few.  He’s focused and eager to make music that the world will fall in love with. It’s his time to bless everyone with his undeniable talent.  His music shall speak for itself…
