NEW YORK – A Grammy-nominated gospel singer from Brooklyn remains in critical condition three weeks after a car crash killed his wife and grandson.
The Rev. Timothy Wright is conscious and alert, but remains on a respirator at a Pennsylvania hospital.
Relatives say they told the 61-year-old on Monday about his wife’s death. His son says he took the news “pretty well.”
The family hopes to move him to a rehabilitation facility next week.
Wright’s car was hit head-on July 4 by a motorist driving the wrong way on a Pennsylvania highway. The other driver was killed.
