Obama Wins NC; Clinton Squeaks By In Indiana
Illinois Senator Extends Delegate Lead

Barack Obama scored an impressive victory in the North Carolina Democratic primary. After the final vote count, he beat Hillary Clinton 56 percent to 42 percent.

Meanwhile, in Indiana, where Clinton was hoping to win by double digits, she pulled out the victory by the slimmest of margins. Clinton won 51 percent to 49 percent.

Despite the close vote in Indiana, the night went pretty much as expected.

Clinton and Obama appeared to be betting on a split decision in Indiana and North Carolina (story: Fox News) earlier in the day. Clinton was in Indianapolis Tuesday night, while Obama stayed in Raleigh, N.C. to celebrate his victory.
