The former pastor to Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama says his sermon blaming U.S. policies for the 9/11 attacks was a warning against vengeance and that critics have been twisting his words for political gain. Reverend Jeremiah Wright said he was preaching that God doesn’t want revenge, but rather “wholeness” and “redemption.”
