ORANGE COUNTY, Florida. (WOFL FOX 35, Orlando) –A local college is investigating a racist flyer found on campus.

Valencia Community college confirmed a few flyers with the “n” word turned up Thursday morning in a patio area in the middle of their West Campus in Metrowest.

The flyer targets a groups of black students who were set to gather in the same spot later in the day.

They were concerned about safety, but went on with the rally.

“I don’t know who it was, but a student got one,” said Janet Bryan, a student organizer. “At least one was passed out yesterday.”

The group was protesting because they want the college to pay them back for a trip to a rally in Jena, Louisiana last year.

They said the school withdrew student activity money at the last minute. But the students borrowed the $4500 for the bus trip anyway.
