Talk show host and activist Joe Madison “The Black Eagle” will be the recipient of this year’s Freedom of Speech Award given by TALKERS magazine and members of the Talk Radio First Amendment Committee. The award will be presented at the upcoming New Media Seminar in New York.

According to Talkers Magazine the purpose of the award is to acknowledge an individual within talk media for playing a major role in fostering the maintenance and proliferation of the First Amendment as the bedrock principle of this industry and the health of our democracy. Earlier this year Madison was chosen as #18 in Talker Magazine’s list of “100 Most Important Radio Talk Hosts”.
