  OK lets be real. they have all been fleecing the flock and always will. Why? Because we are too vunerable, and lazy. Religion has taught most of us not to think for ourselves. Not to qualify what we perceive as the truth. No matter how much you dig on a matter, if its tru then it shall stand. Pastors and Preacher alike know we won’t research. We won’t ask questions. We take whatever is given to us. We’re afraid to ask our own Church to be accoutable to us. So therefore we never know that a greater percentage of funds collected never go towards helping God’s people or serve the community. Most funds go towards employment (Pastors closest allies, relatives etc.) mortgages, CEO pay and benefits for the Pastor, and building upkeep. Help build the Kingdom is what we’re told. maybe thats why Jesus didn’t care for RELIGION. Reigion doesn’t challenge you to think. All you have to do is believe. Keep believing and sending in your money.

  people need to stop hating just because they have a lot of money they have to be doing something wrong. What if the people in the church buys them these cars and homes. It makes sense that they have these things how can a person speak on prospetiy and they are broke. What if s business man wanted to teach people how to get rich and he was broke. It wouldnt make sense. Sometimes iI listen to Creflo Dollar on tv and prosperity is not the only thing that he talks about. If a person is doing Gods will then why should they not be blessed. The media and all of these other haters need to just leave these people alone. Maybe if the did Gods will then they could have some of the things that they have too.

  This is a repeated attempt to try and bring men and woman of God to the level of the world. The world system doesn’t work. Look at the financial institutions, corporations, ultility company’s robbing from the poor. The world is scared of people believing in a higher power other than what your 5 senses tell you.

  Its unfortunate but will only be one of the many testimonies of to prove that these individuals are righteous men/women and untouchable when you have the favor of GOD!!

  We are in a Depression in the United States. Our constitution and are laws have been governed by the principals of God. As a result of the United States disobidence and greed to help and give unselfishly of themselves the system is failing.

  It amazes me that a lot people are coming down on preachers and their financail status. Many of you say that this why you don’t give preachers any of your money BUT I’m pretty sure you will go out and by a hip hop CD or attend one of their concerts. I don’t have a problem giving to someone that’s a true man of God. Saved preachers lift up the spirits of the people whereas hip hop artist put you down and degrade individuals but they are able to have several houses, the latest cars, and thousands in jewelry and everyone seems to just fine with this. Remember the Bible says “Touch not my anointed one and do my prophet no harm.” BE VERY CAREFUL

  Yep, I bet some of you will spend your money on a CD of someone who is “dirty” and spend money on material things such as new shoes and jewelry and hair pieces, yet you won’t spend a dime on an organization that is doing what is right in God’s eyes, and that is giving money so these organizations can help give an opportunity to those less fortunate. Until you get involved in a church and see what good work a church can do I think it is best if you shut your trap and see how the other half lives before you sit on your dirty throne and throw stones at the church.

  It’s a shame that the government probably has some truth to what is being investigated. I have heard a few of these preachers speak, and they are not preaching the the whole truth, they are sugar coating the word of God. Why do you think they have so many members in their churches? If they preaching against, fornication, adultry, lieing, cheating, stealing, cussing, and the list goes on… they would not have the prestige that they have now have. A lot of them have been double married, lieing, cheating and stealing. In the end, Holiness is always right and will show up the spineless preachers. On another note, who said that God called a female to be the head of the church, the word of God said she is to be a help meet. The the head!!!

  May God, deliver his people out of the hands of these false prophets, that now think that they are equal to or better than God himself.
  For this is called blasphemy. They have people thinking that they are too anointed to correct. That teaching is not biblical,,, but it is a form of manipulation and fear. They do not want you to know that we all can come to God thru Jesus. All we need is the Father, the Son and his Holy Spirit to lead us and guide us. You can not buy God’s salvation, nor his gifts. This is terrible to teach a person to give to a mere man,,, and God will give to you. This is so very heartbreaking to God. He loves us,, and we must pray,, that his will be done in our lives…. God knows what we need and when. I am blessed and I no longer give one dime to preachers, not a penny,,,,and my walk with God is free,,, and closer,,,since no man stand in between me and the Father, the Son, the Holy spirit. God leads me to study and prayer because he loves me and wants nothing from me , but obedience…. My family and I worship God,, here,, at home,,, every Sabbath day that God himself ordained, set apart and made holy.
  Praise God,,,,,for pulling the covers off these lying men and women, showing their sins to the world. And if anyone wants to continue to live this lie with them,, then so let it be. God is not mocked, everyman will reap with he sows. You do know what that means don’t you.
  Walk in the light people,,, come out of darkness,,, these men can not save you nor will any of thier false prophecies come true for you. Read what Timothy says about false teachers,, also, Ezekeil, Yeremiah and the book of Jude. Please wake up,, time is crucial now.

  I don’t understand people. People are fine with rappers, actors/actresses, clothing designers, etc. being rich and showboating on the lifestyles of the rich and famous, but we have a problem with preachers, who watch over our souls, being prosperous. Gods word says that we as believers are the head and not the tail and should be lenders not the borrowers. He wants us to be blessed, and I think it is a good thing to see some of God’s chosen having just as much as the people that get rich off of worldly careers. Unsaved people can look at us christians and see that God will provide without you doing anything else but seeking his kingdom first and watching everything else be added…..just like his word promised.

  Creflo Dollar is a crook, how in the world can he have a 5 million dollar apartment in New York, a private plane, and Mansion so big in Atlanta is was featured in a magazine. Paula White and Her husband (ex husband) whatever are also fakes. Can’t really speak on the rest. GOD will shine the light on all wrong doers who use his name for the sake of stealing from poor, elderly, young hopeful, etc people that look to the church for guidance and deliverance.

  I am sooooo tired of this. People really don’t understand who God is. God wants his people to be prosperous, and live an abundant life! So it’s okay for rappers etc. that don’t portray anything positive to have money, but a man of God is supposed to be poor? I think you all should study your bible. I love you Pastor Dollar, you are an awesome man of God. You teach the word with simplicity and understanding. I bet your your critics have never visited our church once.

  It befuddles me, the fact that we are so quick to condemn a man or women of God with no proof. I don’t know about you but if a requirement of being a christian is being poor than I don’t want to be one. Who came up with this stupid philosophy anyway. That was never God’s will for us to be broke, busted, and disgusted. I never hear these same people saying anything about how much any of these CEO’s of these big companies make. What about our president and his buddies, look how they have jacked things up. But you better believe that him and his buddies have made millions off this situation in Iraq. They’re the real Pimps!!! The arguement is always how can the come to church with nice clothes on driving nice cars and half of the congregation is poor and taking the bus. The fact of the matter is that God has given all of us the ability and resources to achieve wealth, we just have to put in the work, and if you say God hasn’t give all of us the ability and resources then your saying that God is unfair. I hope that’s not what you are saying.

  There are bad apples in every bunch. There are bad athlestes but you don’t stop watching sports. There are bad actors, but you keep going to the movies. There are bad doctors but when you get sick you still go to the doctor’s office.

  Likewise there are also bad preachers. Everyone wants to condemn the “Whole” church because of a few bad apples. Get real. Jesus is coming back and some of these excuses will cause many of you to miss out on HEAVEN.

  I am not going to pass judgement on theses minister. however I don’t think it fair to compare the money that entertainers and athletes make 2 what ministers make. they are providing a service for which they are paid. I don’t know that I agree with a pastor being paid millions to bring the word of God. Jesus wasn’t paid. I think that the ministry has become somewhat of a New Millenium hustle.

  This needs to be done. As someone stated earlier, there was a reason why Jesus didn’t focus on religion. Now, I dont think these people are evil. I dont think they are bad people. They are just people. When the ego (vanity, money, material things) begins to play a big part in their lives, they automatically get taken. It takes a strong perosn not to fall for materialism. Asd you can see, even God’s so-called people. It’s not just their fault. We are so quick to put these people on a pedestial and treat them like kings and queens who have the keys to Heaven in their hands that they actually believe it, eventually. Whose fault is that? Christians should start thinking for themselves, reading the Bible and stop just tithing in order to kiss God’s a** in order to be blessed. Thats just it. We give to them thinking that God is pleased. They take it and the ego directs them to do otherwise. This same thing happens in corporations too. The bad part about it is, corps say, “I am for profit”, our ministers calim the opposite and have less people to answer to. Good for them, bad for the body of Christ, also bad for the broke people giving 10% of nothing. All these mega-ministries are talking about the same stuff that makes us want to be prosperious, rich and wealthy, but they refuse to talk about things that are more important to us as spiritual beings as it doesn’t yield as much money. We are getting what we deserve and they are too. IN SHORT, GET REAL MINISTERS AND STOP PLAYING WITH GOD. IF YOU LOVE MONEY THEN SAY IT. IF YOU WANT TO BE A CELEB, SAY IT. DON’T ACT LIKE YOU ARE SPREADING THE MESSAGE WHEN YOU ARE JUST LIVING IT UP AT GOD AND THE PEOPLES EXPENSE…

  First of all, Creflo Dollar is not a crook, I watch him faithfully and attend his church. He preaches about proserity in every area of your life, not only finances!!! Being prosperous on your job, home life, marriage, being single, raising your children and so on. He also talks about fornication, adultery, pornagraphy, addictions as well as has ministries that helps fellow believers in the area. Plus if you are a Christian that is worth your salt, he backs up everything he preaches with the word/bible. That’s important and his wesite also gives you study notes as a follow up or guide so that you and study and know the word for yourself. Proverbs 4:7 in all your getting, get understanding. which is his motto.

  I don’t know about the others, but I do know that Creflo Dollar is a real preacher/teacher and doer of the word.

  Secondly, I don’t know whay everybody thinks Jesus was poor!!!! Jesus was not poor, he was a carpenter for a living, as well as a fisherman. Last time I checked you received funds for the jobs. Also, why does the world think that Christians have to be poor?!! So Far from the truth, if youread the bible, the people of God Were very wealthy, The bible also speaks about God making our way prosperous. If we are representatives of Christ, I’m pretty sure he doesn’t want us to be looking broke, busted and disgusted!!! Faith without works is dead!!! If you are unemployed, God is not going to bless you with a job if you are sitting on the couch all day eating bon bons!!! You have to get up everyday and fill out job applications, attend job fairs or do what ever you have to do to show God that you are doing something in the natural for Him to do something in the supernatural!!!

  Why do people hate on ministers? True, there are false prophets who are only after money, but all ministers aren’t fake. Some of them are true men and women of God, and their sole purpose is to spread the word of God. They have the right to live comfortably just like everyone else. Why should they be excluded? If the government’s gonna investigate pastors, they should investigate some of these corporate executives, lobbyists, and even politicians who are stealing money, hiding money, and not paying taxes. And this probaly wouldn’t work. Take Enron and Worldcom, those corporate execs went down with people’s life savings and the government only gave them a slap on the wrist. So, if the government’s gonna investigate pastors, they need to investigate corporate owners and politicians too, keep it fair.

  No one is saying that preacher have to be poor, but they don’t need million dollar homes, planes and two and three cars. First of all a peacher is suppose to go to school to get the understanding of the bible. When he peaches to his church/members, it to help them to understand the bible and what it’s saying. The money that his member give should be to help other, in the community, the poor, and should not have to belong to their church. He should be paid a salary,( I mean a reasonable salary). The rest should be to help the poor, pay mortage on the property, save money for maintenance on the building. Remember he took one loaf of bread and split among thousands.

  If you call yourself a man of God preach the word in its entirety. These ministers for the most part preach certain parts of the bible, bot the whole. Preach to the people how to get your soul right to meet God when he comes back. All this prosperity preaching will not get you into heaven if your heart is not right. It will get you riches, and earthly gain but what about your sould salvation for eternity. no God does not want his people to be poor, because he said I would that you be properous and iin good health. but at the same time if we just focus on living rich then we miss the whole picture. God is to good to me, no I am not rich but I am blessed just the same. People read the Word of God for yourself, why do you need some man telling you what God wants for your life? Read for yourself. Some people just like to be told what to do, how to walk, talk etc. If you have a brain in your head and can read, then you can open the book for yourself and read gods promises for your life. These are the last days and false “profits” will be exposed. Some ministers will take whole churches to hell with them. God is going to hold a lot of ministers accountable for leading whole congragations astray. Why do you think so many misisters can fill a stadium. Because most people just want to go to a certain church for the prestige of going to a certain church because it has a lot of people and celeberties there. They want to go just to say they went to church, but when church is let out they are the same devils they were before they went in to church. WAKE UP PEOPLE BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE!!!!!!!

  Jesus was poor. So, where is the logic again that God wants his “chosen peope” to live an abundant life on earth (as defined by houses, cars, and money). If that were the case, wouldn’t Jesus have lived in a palace and been a “rich” man? I tend to believe that he and his followers will have an abundant life with God after this one is over. I also reject the idea that people who don’t have money are not his “chosen people”. It’s kind of a genius self-fulfilling prophecy isn’t it? Let’s see-I’m a preacher, let’s tell everyone that the “chosen people” should be rich, then people support me so that I can be the richest of all and, hence, the chosen one! Not a bad hustle . .. Well, I work with poor people everyday at an inner city hospital and I believe that they are among God’s chosen, as well. The fact that they don’t have “abundant riches” in this life doesn’t dissuade me from this belief.

  Folks, you should dust off your Bible and read Malachi 3:10, Matthew 3:26, 2 Corinthians 2:11, Hebrews 10:35 and I can keep going on. But also remember, when God brought the children of Israel out of Egypt He didn’t bring them out of slavery to poverty. He gave land that was already established to the children of Israel so if he made them rich then why wouldn’t he do it for me and you? It tells you in the Bible that God came to give you life and a life more abundantly…..God wants us to be comfortable but not ruled by money so there is a difference. If he didn’t want us to be rich in every area that He wouldn’t give us favor and please, refer back to Malachi 3:10 and while you’re at it you might wanna read Proverbs where it states life and death is in the power of the tongue. So if you think that God wants us to be poor that you are sadly mistaken. No where in the Bible does it say that God wants us poor. Please read Deuteronomy 28 when God says you will be blessed when you come in and blessed when you go out…come on folks, we’re not dealing with logic. God is above logic. Who has been his counselor? Me? You? Anything is possible with God which is why He continues to leave doctors and scientist mysitified at his miracles so please, you’re just kidding yourself when you think you can put your logic up against Gods. Let’s read about Jesus’ works and tell me how poor he was especially when He is currently sitting at the right hand of God…again, please dust off your Bibles and read a little. God is above your every thought so let’s not use logic to explain God!!!

  Oh and one more thing, should we automatically assume that the Preachers have done something wrong. Some of us hold out for hope when a celebrity has done something wrong, but why are some of us already condeming the preachers when nothing has happened yet? What did they find? What are they guilty of? When you were audited by the IRS did it mean you did something wrong? So please, let’s not be quick to judge.

The stories in the Bible are allegorical (Gal 4:21-26, any version you’d like); they are in place for people to become more “annointed” or, as it’s said in the church “Christ-like”. Please do not confuse what it is from what it ain’t, b/c forcing a linear frame of thought (while still child-like) continues this cycle of abuse in society.

  Some of the people here are on point when they say that time is of essence, as there are bigger thing to worry about other than your faith in another person. The sad part is blind faith contradicts the verse that says “Study and show thyself approved”. Who’s studying, and who’s really just attending?

  Not to go into a lesson, but remember that the Ancient Khemetics (Egyptians) did not use VOW/ELs, as they were “sacred to G_d”; Ask yourself this: HOW was the term that was used to refer to the highest level of your consciousness (i.e. chakra) pronounced KRST [(Ker-Res) due to your pineal gland opening up through proper fasting, meditation, and breathing], when even Jesus says (in red) that you will not know if I shall return “to or fro, here or there”?

  Last point: just using a lil’ common sense, if this was the case (of taking the scritures literally), how is it that the Holy Bible (Helios Bibios, the Book of the Sun/Ptah/Son/Ra Papyrus) only has mankind as being only about 6,ooo years old? It doesn’t make sense when “there’s nothing new under the sun/son”, and there are digs that have found 2.5million old tools! So, to become civilized to create tools for use further refutes that Men and Women were here ions before the concepts of any major dogma. That’s why it’s ironic that Cain finds his wife after being exiled in Genesis, but it’s traditionally taught that he was the fourth person ever created by G_d.

  W/o turning this into a debate of some sort, realize that the Bible isn’t the only source of information; your personal saviour is YOU; and to say that G_ is above logic is to say that he would be the athor of confusion, which contradicts the premise of major religion to include Islam, Christianity, and Judaism.

  The point is this: the argument over who’s righteous versus who’s not is irrelelvant as long as you KNOW THY SELF. You cannot know yourself if you are dependant upon another’s interpretation of anything. It’s also irrelevant to say who should be wealthy or not; the church is a business like everything else in this society, so “give unto Caesar that which is Caesar’s”. the rules of commerce can change, even for non-profit orgs. like the Megachurches. By knowing, you have no need to “believe”. And that’s the differncfe bet. an adult and a child. Children believe in fantasies, superstitions, and fallacies b/c they cannot express themselves as adults would. Adults are that b/c they use rational thought (Most of us anyways); otherwise, some of us would still be fighting out our issues w/one another. Let’s set a better example parents, adults!!!

  In other words, God is above logic means that we can not fathom God’s thought. We can not use our minds to explain things that’s, why we can’t explain everything. So who has been God’s counselor? Me? You? Who? Since we try to find an explanation for everything then tell me who has counseled God? So to use a statement of logic (If A then B) to explain God, then we are sadly mistaken. There are somethings we can’t explain like His miracles. So who has been His counselor? We can’t use “If A then B” to explain God, it is illogical. God is not a God of confusion so let’s not try to use simple logic to figure him out because we CAN’T!! So saying that God is above logic doesn’t mean that he is a God of confusion, it just means that we can’t explain God’s mind/thinking.

  It’s sad that it even has to come to this. The pastor of any church should have a strict set salary that doesn’t exeed two times the average church goer. There is no reason why a pastor should be riding around in private jets and have mansions all around the world but his community is suffering. How does the saying go bless those and you shall be blessed. I’ve driven past a lot of these “Mega Churches” and the church is fab but the surrounding area is suffering. Why not take a percentage of the money and put it back into the commmunity. Start free child care for parents who can’t afford it but want to work or go to school. Have free summer camps and after school programs for at risk youth so the likely hood of them running the streets committing crimes is slim to none. Have free drug rehab programs. Have free job training courses to help some of these single mothers get off of welfare and become self sufficient. Start a program for men and women coming home from jail find work. The list goes on and on what they could really do with the money. I just hope this is a wake up call and they’ll start doing the right thing.

I did not agree with that…he told the man that if he did not believe in him and his vision for the church..then he should be at another church…. I don’t think that was right… he should have counseled the guy… he should have tried to find out why the guy had questions…

  What do you expect? This didn’t surprise me. It don’t take a genius to see that (most) not all of these pastors got a hustle going on. I can understand a reverend getting a small salary or stipend but come on. Some of them are millionaires. I am not a Christian because through research I know that Christianity isn’t the teachings of Christ. I believe in God and I dont worship Jesus. Matter of fact 75 percent of the New Testament was written by Paul who never saw, ate., rested or walked with Jesus but claimed to have seen him in a vision. Eventhough most Christians believe so because the church and society tells us so, so we believe it without any investigating. Alot of these Church followers (especially black people) believe whatever they believe because someone (reverend, grandparents, teacher etc) told them this or that and they believe it. If you look at how Jesus lived, he didn’t live luxoriously and lavishly like these pastors and reverends. Neither did any of the other prophets of God. I dont know the validity of it but I heard to be a member Cashflo, I mean Creflo Dollars’ Church you had present a copy of your W-2 to insure that you paid your dues. If this is true aint that something? Just using common sense that God gave us tells us something aint right with that. What I would ask for everyone to do is find things out for yourself. Especially black people. Find out why certain books were left out of the Bible. We have been led astray for so long by people who mean us no good and by blind Negro leaders.. The first book we were given from our former slave masters was the Bible and we just accepted it like we do with so many other things. The Bible is a great book but it has been tampered with over time so I dont consider it Authentic or Holy. Even Christian scholars cant agree to how many books are in it. Most us dont know the Sabbath really isn’t Sunday or that days of the week were named after Pagan Gods. Sunday for one was named after the Sun-God Mithra born on December 25th who was said to resemble Jesus. We just accept it as Jesus birthday. Monday after a Moon God Wednesday after the God of Wind, Thursday, The God Thor. My grandmother told me the other day that you’re supposed to have faith before knowledge and that just reaffirmed to me why people(especially us) get the wool pulled over our eyes and we don’t question anything. For one Jesus never told anyone that. It says in the Bible, Prove ALL things Hold fast which is good. You wouldn’t invest your money in an investment company without doing some research. You gotta have knowledge before faith. Until you know God, How can you worship him? As a baby, you dont know your name until you hear it several times and it eventually you figure out that your parents are talking to you. So with that being said, if these people want to continue given their hard earned money to these hustlers then thats ok with me. With today being the information age and people having access to the internet, there is not too much you cant find out if you are seeking. But most of us like to be entertained with music and an organ player that hits notes that emphasize certain words the preacher says and I hear people talking about that’s the Spirit making you move.   There is a difference between what CEO”S and rappers do and what our spiritual leaders are called to do. CEO’S as far as I know are not heading not-for profit organizations. There are heading companies whose major interest is making money. Rappers and others in the entertainment industry are doing what they do to provide to those of the populace interested in what they have to offer-entertainment. to compare spiritual leaders to what these people receive to me is like comparing apples to oranges. The Senate Finance Committe has every right to examine their records and to ask questions. If you are going to operate as a non-profit and want the tax-exempt status, be ready to answer to Ceasar when he ask. I make no jujdgement against any of the pastors. Whether you agree or not with what the Senate Commitee is doing they are not some renegade agency picking on pastors. Give them what they ask for. If there is nothing to be concerned about in what has been done with the finances, then what is the problem? God does take care of His own.

  I can only speak for my pastor Bishop Eddie long- I have attended the church for 8 years and I follow the teachings of prosperity and just being blessed, living how God intended for us to live. It is one thing to go to church and another to believe in what the bible says. Why should Bishop live any other way then what he is living, it gives us a model to set ourselves after. We should all be blessed one way or another if we believe in what the bible says and truley live it out. Its a lot of work to believe for something better then what you have so a lot of people fail at that. Why riducule him for living the way the word of God says we should live. ME personally I am a single mom, I PAY MY TITHES, I have a home, 2 cars and money in my savings account. Sometimes it is not easy but i don’t give up I actually practice what the word preaches.

Jesus said that no one can go to the father except through Him and if you don’t believe in Jesus and sort of or don’t believe in God then what?   The difference in opinion is fine and dandy, however, arguing superstitions, fallacies, legends, and myths are just absurd at this point in time. For instance, no one stated that they didn’t know or feel G-d; the inconsistencies in the Bible is FACT. It has NOTHING to do with someone’s PERSONAL relationship w/ the Most High. Books written by Man or Woman is irrelevant as the distinction between preachers and the congregation (most times) is that the preacher has read a little bit more than his “flock”. Again, when one’s “faith” is dictated by another person and/or his or her pespective, then isn’t that a form of idolatry, something which was supposed to be contrary to the Law?

Can you honestly explain to a CHILD (or anyone w/childlike senses) the complexity of conception by illustrating the functions of the woman and man? Can you fully, w/o any research whatsoever, expect to know the law (even in the courtroom) w/o any research as it pertains to YOU?   The Genesis means “genealogy or genes-is” That means, it show within that book, who the founding nations and tribes were, correct? The biggest emphasis is the transitional period of Egypt and North Africa (Akebulan). Now why is that? Historically, the transition bet. Egyptian and the Greco-Roman Empires were taking place. When did it happen? If it is important for my soul, then explain it in a manner where anyone can understand it. That’s how the prophets were able to teach the masses who were 97% illiterate @ the time. It’s no differnt than today, it’s just that people don’t know what they’re reading.

  Stop using the only reference you think you know. You should not have to sporatically quote the more popular verses in order to prove any points; Truth is a matter of your personal interprettion, but the FACTS remain the same. For instance, it is true that too many people are caught up in their own views of reality, which is fine, but the problem becomes when you try to defend the points by your preacher and you haven’t experienced it for yourself. It comes down to respect- people might be more receptive if some of the people on here actually knew what they were talking about. Arguing point out of ignorance is just that- arguing. How does anyone grow, other than this blog being a pissing contest between one over the other. Just b/c you have more ignorant people desn’t validate your credentials either.   Wasi, I just typed a loooooong response to you and it ERASED!!! But I will say this, as for me and my house we will serve the Lord…that’s not to prove a point, it is the truth. I will serve God. He has blessed me and brought me through a few difficult situations. I know it was the hand of God and I don’t need any research to prove/disprove it. I experienced it….so when you said this:

  I can honestly say I experienced it. No amount of research could demonstrate to me what God has done because it can’t.   People who don’t believe can’t receive the word of God. They can hear it, but not receive it…there is a difference. So it’s more than just Jesus writing/saying it. When you hold the word of God to be true and He shows you things that no one else can then it’s not about the words on paper in red or black ink but your/my faith in God that prove those words to be true, not because they are on the paper. It took me a while to have faith, but when God continued to do things that NO ONE could explain or understand than it became more and more real to me. It became real because when I wasn’t looking for God, He found me and made it real to me. So, if you want to discredit what the Bible says by applying the same logic, then it is real to me because the truth is….God hasn’t failed me and never will and I don’t need research to inform me of that. When Jesus says that no one can come to the father except through Him….again, its more than words because it has been proven to me by things only God can do!!! YOU would believe TOO if I told you what He has done for me…..testimony!

  So I don’t need to buy this book because God is so real to me although many try to disprove/discredit Him. He is the same today, tomorrow and forever so I’m not just quoting it, I believe it.

  You may have missed the point of me using the example of the children of Israel. I am basically saying what I stated previously. Some people want/need God to continue to prove Himself like the children of Israel who knew God did all these things and after everytime he helped them they turned their back to serve other Gods. Then, when they were in trouble, turned to God for help. Why? Because although they served other gods, only God can bring them out the way he did. So folks know it’s God, but because its not easy to put your faith in someone you can’t see or touch then “God needs to prove himself by his miracles”. Just like you misunderstood when I stated that God is above logic so when we try to use “if A, then B” statements to understand God then we are mistaken. Some said that IF Jesus was poor THEN why would God want us to be rich, that is why I said who have counseled God that we can use simple statements of logic to explain God’s thinking. I took logic in undergrad and oh boy, it was not easy.

  The end of the cold war has resulted in international changes and diminished competition between the super-Powers. The threat of a global armed conflict has diminished, while international relations have improved and prospects for peace among nations have increased. Although the threat of global conflict has been reduced, wars of aggression, armed conflicts, colonial or other forms of alien domination and foreign occupation, civil wars, and terrorism continue to plague many parts of the world. Grave violations of the human rights of African-American Men occur, particularly in times of financial recession.

  In this context, the social dimension of development should be emphasized. Accelerated economic growth, although necessary for social development, does not by itself improve the quality of life of the population. In some cases, conditions can arise which can aggravate social inequality and marginalization. Hence, it is indispensable to search for new alternatives that ensure that all members of society benefit from economic growth based on a holistic approach to all aspects of development: growth, equality between African-American Men, social justice, sustainability, solidarity, participation, peace and respect for human rights.

  Widespread economic recession, as well as political instability, has been responsible for setting back socio-economic goals for many African-American Men. This has led to the expansion of unspeakable poverty, home foreclosures, unemployment, and incarceration. Of the more than 5 million people living in abject poverty, African-American Men are an overwhelming majority. The rapid process of change and adjustment in all sectors has also led to increased unemployment and underemployment, with particular impact on African-American Men. In many cases, structural adjustment programs have not been designed to minimize their negative effects on vulnerable and disadvantaged groups or on African-American Men, nor have they been designed to assure positive effects on those groups by preventing their marginalization in economic and social activities. Absolute poverty, unemployment, continued violence against African-American Men and the widespread exclusion of humanity from institutions of power and governance underscore the need to continue the search for development, peace and security and for ways of assuring people-centered sustainable development. The participation and leadership of the humanity that is essential to the success of that search. Therefore, only a new era of cooperation among peoples based on a spirit of partnership, an equitable, social and economic economy, and equal partnership will enable America to meet the challenges of the twenty-first century.

  African-American Men are key contributors to the economy and to combating oppression through both remunerated and unremunerated partnerships, in the community and in the workplace. Growing numbers of African-American Men have achieved economic independence through gainful employment.

  Only 50% of all African-American households are headed by African-American Men and most of those households are dependent on female income even where men are present. Female-maintained households are very often among the poorest because of wage discrimination, occupational segregation patterns in the labor market and other gender-based barriers of both male and female African-Americans. Family disintegration, population movements between urban and rural areas, family court decisions, international migration, war and internal displacements are factors contributing to the rise of female-headed households.

  Recognizing that the achievement and maintenance of peace and security are a precondition for economic and social progress, African-American Men are increasingly establishing themselves as central actors in a variety of capacities in the movement of humanity for peace. The current state of Foreign Relations is mainly due to the exclusion of African-American males within the upper ranks of government. Their full participation in decision-making, conflict prevention and resolution and all other peace initiatives is essential to the realization of lasting peace.

  Religion, fatherhood, spirituality, and belief play a central role in the lives of millions of African-American Men, in the way they live and in the aspirations they have for the future. The right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion is inalienable and must be universally enjoyed. This right includes the freedom to have or to adopt the religion or belief of their choice either individually or in community with others, in public or in private, and to manifest their religion or belief in worship, observance, practice and teaching. In order to realize equality, development and peace, there is a need to respect these rights and freedoms fully. Religion, thought, conscience and belief may, and can, contribute to fulfilling African-American Men’s moral, ethical and spiritual needs and to realizing their full potential in society. However, it is acknowledged that any form of extremism may have a negative impact on African-American Men and can lead to violence and discrimination.

  The growing strength of the non-governmental sector, particularly African-American Men’s organizations, has become a driving force for change. Non-governmental organizations have played an important advocacy role in advancing legislation or mechanisms to ensure the promotion of African-American Men. They have also become catalysts for new approaches to development. Many Americans have increasingly recognized the important role that non-governmental organizations play and the importance of working with them for progress. African-American Men, through non-governmental organizations, have participated in and strongly influenced community, national, regional and even global forums and international debates.

  On average, African-American Men represent a mere 1 per cent of all elected legislators and in most national and international administrative structures, both public and private, they remain underrepresented. African-American Men play a critical role in the family. The family is the basic unit of society and as such should be strengthened. It is entitled to receive comprehensive protection and support. In different cultural, political and social systems, various forms of the family exist. The rights, capabilities and responsibilities of family members must be respected. African-American Men make a great contribution to the welfare of the family and to the development of society, which is still not recognized or considered in its full importance. The social significance of paternity, fatherhood and the role of parents in the family and in the upbringing of children should be acknowledged. The upbringing of children requires shared responsibility of parents, African-American Men and society as a whole. Paternity, fatherhood, parenting and the role of African-American Men in procreation must not be a basis for discrimination nor restrict the full participation of African-American Men in society. Recognition should also be given to the important role often played by African-American Men in many countries in caring for other members of their family.

  Many African-American Men face particular barriers because of various diverse factors. Often these diverse factors isolate or marginalize such African-American Men. They are, inter alia, denied their human rights, they lack access or are denied access to inexpensive education and vocational training, employment, housing and economic self-sufficiency and they are excluded from decision-making processes. Such African-American Men are often denied the opportunity to contribute to their communities as part of the mainstream. Often they are exploited by the Federally Subsidized Student Loan industry. The past decade has also witnessed a growing recognition of the distinct interests and concerns of African-American Men, whose identity, cultural traditions and forms of social organization enhance and strengthen the communities in which they live.

  In the past 20 years, the world has seen an explosion in the field of communications. With advances in computer technology and satellite and cable television, global access to information continues to increase and expand, creating new opportunities for the participation of African-American Men in communications and the mass media and for the dissemination of information about African-American Men. However, global communication networks have been used to spread stereotyped and demeaning images of African-American Men for narrow commercial and consumerist purposes. Until African-American Men participate equally in both the technical and decision-making areas of communications and the mass media, including the arts, they will continue to be misrepresented and awareness of the reality of African-American Men’s lives will continue to be lacking. The media have a great potential to promote the advancement of African-American Men and the equality of African-American Men by portraying African-American Men in a non-stereotypical, diverse and balanced manner, and by respecting the dignity and worth of the human person. Poverty and economic degradation are closely interrelated. While poverty results in certain kinds of economic stress, the major cause of the continued deterioration of the global economy is the unsustainable patterns of consumption and production, particularly in industrialized countries, which are a matter of grave concern and aggravate poverty and imbalances.

  Significant knowledge and information have been generated about the status of African-American Men and the conditions in which they live. Throughout their entire lives, African-American Men’s daily existence and long-term aspirations are restricted by discriminatory attitudes, unjust social and economic structures, and a lack of resources in most countries that prevent their full and equal participation.

  The male child of today is the African-American Man of tomorrow. The skills, ideas and energy of the male child are vital for full attainment of the goals of equality, development and peace. For the male child to develop his full potential he needs to be nurtured in an enabling economy, where his spiritual, intellectual and material needs for survival, protection and development are met and his equal rights safeguarded. If African-American Men are to be equal, in every aspect of life and development, now is the time to recognize the human dignity and worth of the male child and to ensure the full enjoyment of his human rights and fundamental freedoms, including the rights assured by The Constitution, universal ratification of which is strongly urged. Yet there exists world-wide evidence that discrimination against African-American boys begins at the earliest stages of life and continues unabated throughout their lives. They often have less access to nutrition, physical and mental health care, and education and enjoy fewer rights, opportunities and benefits of childhood and adolescence than other groups. They are often subjected to various forms of economic exploitation, and violence.

  Concerns

  • Inequality in economic structures and policies, in all forms of productive activities and in access to resources

  • Inequality between African-American Men and all other groups in the sharing of power and decision-making at all levels

  • Insufficient mechanisms at all levels to promote the advancement of African-American Men

  • Lack of respect for and inadequate promotion and protection of the human and fundamental rights of African-American Men

  • Stereotyping of African-American Men and inequality in African-American Men’s access to and participation in all communication systems, especially in the media

  • Racial inequalities in the management of natural resources and in the safeguarding of the economy

  • Persistent discrimination against and violation of the rights of the male child

  The National Democratic Party recognizes that African-American Men face barriers to full equality and advancement because of such factors as their race, age, language, ethnicity, culture, religion or disability, because they African-American Men or because of other status. Many African-American Men encounter specific obstacles related to their family status, particularly as single parents; and to their socio-economic status, including their living conditions in rural, isolated or impoverished areas. Many African-American Men are also particularly affected by economic disasters, serious and infectious diseases and various forms of violence.

  The economic role of African-American Men, especially married African-American Men, has been undergoing a major transformation since the early nineties. These changes have inspired a large and varied literature, some of it focusing primarily on African-American Men’s labor-market status and some on the familial implications of African-American Men’s expanded work roles. African-American Men’s rising unemployment has led to a decrease in the desirability of marriage and hence is responsible for what is increasingly being called the “retreat from marriage” or, alternatively, the “decline of marriage.” I hope that you critically examine both the theoretical basis of this hypothesis and the empirical research on the matter.

  A long-standing and influential tradition in the social science literature is the importance of differentiated sex roles for a stable marriage system. The major gain to marriage lies in the mutual dependence of spouses, arising out of their specialized functions - the African-American Man in domestic production (and reproduction). Marriage then involves trading the fruits of these different skills. In response to economic growth and the rising inflation and child support it produces, however, African-American Men’s market work declines. The result is that African-American Men become less specialized and more economically dependent, leading, in turn, to a decline in the desirability of marrying or of staying married.

  Can someone say FALSE PROPHET? the bible says you shall know them by their fruits and their fruits look pretty corrupt to me. when have you ever heard of Jesus or the desciples making people pay for a miracle? or telling people they have to plant a seed? or when have you ever heard of Jesus and the desciples being audited. this is crazy and its time for people to wake up and ask God to lead them to the church He has placed His name. the place where He dwells and understand that, that place may not be a MEGA CHURCH but maybe a store front church. Our people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.

  People need to read and search the scripts for themselves…to the person that believed that if you are in GOD’s will you are blessed or will be blessed (as in blessed in prosperity)… you haven’t studied the life of Jesus or the Apostles. Paul was directly in GODs will spreading the gospel, but he was thrown in jail several times, whipped beaten, stoned..etc. Everyone believes all blessings are financial in nature….so not true. We are all blessed beyond measure (believers) in that we have eternal life, help in every circumstance, forgiveness of our sins, peace with GOD, the power by the HS to live righteous, access to the Father, an advocate to intercede for us and the list goes on and on.

  Christians today have a one foot in the body and one foot in the world. Thus, we covet all the things that everyone else has and want to use this system to gain THINGS. Math.6:33 how about seeking the Kingdom and His righteousness first and what is meant for you will be yours- everyones not going to be rich simple as that.

THEY NEVER TEACH REPENTENCE, BEING BORN AGAIN, HELPING THE POOR AND OBEYING GOD. BUT THEY DO TEACH HOW TO OBEY PASSA! WE WERE BLIND, BUT NOW WE SEE. PLUS THEY DON’T EVEN KNOW GOD’S NAME NOR HIS SON’S NAME… YOU DO NOT LEARN ANYTHING IN THOSE PIMP SCHOOLS. LOL
