Graduate students invited to inquire now about $5000 Research Award

CHICAGO UNITED OPENS COMPETITION FOR $5000 RESEARCH AWARD Graduate students invited to inquire now about the 2008 James W. Compton Research Competition CHICAGO – Chicago United, a membership organization that advances diversity and inclusion in industry, has announced that it will offer a $5,000 research award this year as part of its James W. Compton Research Competition.  Graduate students interested in the challenge are encouraged to request more information now. The competition is designed for graduate students who are majoring in areas such as, business, economics, policy and law. The grand prize is a $5000 research award to the author(s). The award-winning selection will contribute to the body of research Chicago United conducts in the area of diversity.  Chicago United will award an individual scholar or a team of scholars for the most outstanding research document presented in one of the following areas:

  • Diversity in Corporate Governance
  • Diversity in Corporate Executive Management
  • Diversity in Business Partnerships

Requirement Deadlines:

Letter of Intent:  April 11, 2008
Subject-Matter Outline: May 9, 2008
Research Document:  November 7, 2008 

The winner(s) will be announced at Chicago United’s 40th Anniversary Gala in December at the Hilton Chicago.
