I always look in the shopping carts of people, especially African Americans and I take stock of what we are eating especially at buffet’s and i see little to no intake of vegetables, fruit, water, the salad bar doesn’t have a line, the produce department is the most isolated area of the supermarket, We as Black people have to stop feeding the flesh and feed the body, there are so many benefits in eating healthy, energy level, outlook on life, lower blood pressure, metal health, etc, to head our families we need to be as healthy as we can and when we are healthy as a people we can take on problems and create solutions that pleague our famlies and communities, In my own family there is such a resistance to correct behaviors that are detrimental to a healthy lifestyle, frying food, eating to much red meet and pork, smoking, drinking in excess, not exercising, not taking vitimins, not drinking adequate amounts of water, not getting enough sleep, ,, we have to step up work shops, alternative cooking method and ingredients, embeace our cultures from the Mother land for our diets, We have lots of work to do regarding our consumption of food, Lets embrace organic, lets eat more raw fruits and veggies, lets juice and blend vegies and fruits , lets envite family and friends for new healthy discoveries for diet and consumption, lets start one house at a time, one to two days a week, keep in mind the stats for our race and be mindful of our relatives and community health problems and deaths
